Hey friends,
Happy New Year. Welcome to 2026.
If we met you sometime in 2025 (or maybe even before), thank you. Seriously. City On A Hill has grown into something special—and that’s because of people like you who care deeply about creativity, the Church, and doing it all with excellence and purpose.
This year, we’re stepping into 2026 with clarity and conviction. The original dream behind City On A Hill is becoming clearer, and we’re ready to build on it in some big ways. We’re not just keeping this going—we’re doubling down.
📬 Weekly Newsletters, Every Week
We’re committed to sending out weekly emails filled with real talk, strategy, encouragement, and insight for anyone working in or around creative ministry. You’ll see everything from leadership tips to design strategy to culture commentary—and maybe even a few spicy takes.
🎥 More YouTube. More Conversations. More Content.
We’re ramping up our YouTube channel this year—expect videos about video (yes), social media, design, worship, production, team leadership, and the behind-the-scenes reality of working in a church creative environment.
🗣️ A Growing Team with New Voices
You’ll be hearing a lot more from me (George Coletrain), but also from our growing team:
Marcus Donalson is officially on board and will be sharing thoughts around worship, leadership, and pastoring people through music.
Steven Beyer is still here too—he and his wife just had baby #3, so we’ll be seeing more of him later in the year!
💬 Coaching + Small Groups Are Coming
We’re launching 1-on-1 coaching in early 2026, designed for creative leaders and church staffers who need clarity and support.
And later this year, we’re launching skool digital communities/worshops to build real community—so you don’t have to do this work alone.
🎤 Podcast, Interviews & Creative Culture
We’ll be bringing in pastors, filmmakers, designers, and creative leads from all over the church world for deeper conversations about creativity, calling, and leadership. More podcast episodes. More interviews. More stories.
🌎 Meetups + In-Person Connection (Maybe Even a Conference?)
It’s a little early to say too much—but we’re hoping to explore meetups in key cities later this year. And yes… maybe even a conference partnership 👀
💭 What Do You Want to See?
We’re excited about what we’re building—but we want to hear from you, too.
Hit reply (or let us know in the comment section) and tell us:
What topics you want us to explore
What content or tools would actually help you
What you’re hoping to grow in this year
We’re not going anywhere.
If anything, you’re about to see a lot more of us.
Here’s to what’s ahead,
—George
